About The Opportunity:

You will be responsible for plumbing operations and maintenance at our sanitary sewer pump stations, wastewater treatment plants and lagoons, storm sewer pump stations and District Renewable Energy sites as well as other city facilities.
No stranger to exercising considerable independent judgment, you have excellent time management and problem-solving abilities along with a demonstrated commitment to customer service.

 

About Your Background:

You have a valid interprovincial Plumbing qualification or a BC Trades qualification for plumbing and three years’ experience as a Journeyperson plumber. Working from sketches, blueprints, and diagrams and time estimating management skills are essential in this role.  Endorsements in electrical, refrigeration, gas fitting, power engineering, HVAC systems and/or EOCP certifications are considered assets. A valid full privilege Class 5 BC driver’s license (or out of province equivalent) and an ability to obtain and maintain a RCMP Reliability Status and additional security permits are required in this role.
