About The Opportunity:
In this technical role, you will be responsible for assisting developers through the process of property subdivision, ensuring all documentation is complete and in compliance with regulatory requirements, City standards, and established safety and engineering standards. You will also perform field inspections to ensure compliance to the subdivision and development servicing bylaws as well as review and approve design drawings for a variety of development projects. You will use your superior communication skills to liaise with developer’s representatives on site and prepare written reports.
About Your Background:
We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and eligibility for certification as an AScT of BC. You have at least two years of experience in a civil engineering environment and considerable knowledge of the subdivision approval process. You thrive in a fast-paced work environment and enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary team. A skillful communicator, you can deal tactfully with a broad range of clients and pride yourself in providing customer service excellence. A valid full privilege Class 5 BC driver’s license (or out of province equivalent) is required.
