ABOUT US:
Niwȋķȏwin Métis Family Services Society (NMFSS) is a progressive and innovative Society committed to working collaboratively with Métis families and our community to increase families’ capacity to nurture and care for their children in a culturally relevant manner. NMFSS is currently in the process of applying for delegation with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). This will allow NMFSS to provide a broad range of services including child guardianship, family support, enhancement of cultural participation, and involvement with our Métis community. NMFSS also runs the Kîķi Awâsis Day Care for Métis children in Prince George.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking vision and strategy for our family services programs, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our family services programs in collaboration with the Board of Directors, funders, and community partners.
Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing team that fosters a culture promoting ethical practices and encouraging individual integrity and social responsibility.
Resource Development: Identify and secure funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to support program growth and sustainability.
Community Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors to enhance our impact.
Advocacy: Serve as a passionate advocate for Métis children and families, bringing forward issues impacting them.
Financial Stewardship: Manage the budget, financial reporting, and fiscal responsibility of our family services programs.
Risk Management: Identify principal risks of the business and ensure the implementation of systems to manage these risks.
