The Financial Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing financial administration of all cost-recovery operations of Community & Continuing Education and International Education. This position requires the incumbent to take responsibility for all daily and on-going financial administration duties, including financial signing authority to pre-determined limits, petty cash, invoices, internal charges, purchase order requisitions and invoices, billings and accounts management. The incumbent studies financial practices and procedures relevant to cost-recovery operations, maximizes efficiencies and implements changes in systems and methods as required; recognizing that the needs of the internal systems are not always consistent with the needs of the community and the requirements of the funding partners, and finds ways to reconcile the two. This position has external contact with funding agencies, often requiring explanation of project status and problem-solving around financial data and information needs. The Financial Coordinator is required to provide extensive information and advice to Divisional staff with respect to the administrative paperwork required for contract and project work, both personally for staff and in terms of project reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
SALARY: $56,363 per year– Band I
HOURS: 35 hours per week
