In business for over 30 years, Sinclar’s Winton Homes & Cottages is a recognized leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution of quality prefabricated home and cottage packages for a growing market throughout Western Canada, Washington and Alaska.  Our talented work teams produce exceptional engineered housing components including roof trusses and wall and floor systems, many of which are used in commercial as well as residential applications. While our focus is meeting the needs of our customers, our success is driven by our people.

As part of the Winton team, our Production Labourers in the Wall and Truss Plants play a key role in the customer experience by manufacturing quality prefabricated wall, floor, stair, roof and truss components within specified timelines to consistently meet the needs and expectations of our customers.  We are now in a demanding phase of the build year and are looking for motivated individuals to join our team!

Our Production Labourers are primarily responsible for:

• Working safely at all times, following WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies/procedures.
• Working efficiently and productively to build roof and floor truss components, using the provided hand and power tools.
• Following production schedules as directed by Supervisor/Chargehand.
• Keeping all equipment in working order and reporting any deficiencies to Supervisor/Chargehand in a timely manner.
• Submitting reports and records pertaining to safety, quality, and production.
• Performing quality checks on an ongoing basis.

You are the Ideal candidate if you possess the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

• A demonstrated commitment to safety and the safe operation of hand/power tools.
• Previous construction/ manufacturing experience is preferred.
• A Class 5 driver’s license and a First Aid Level 1 certification are considered assets.
• Are detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Are well organized and able to work efficiently in a fast paced, team environment.
• You enjoy hands on work and being on your feet all day.

The starting wage for these positions is $19.75 per hour with room for advancement based on skills and experience.  As an added benefit extended health and dental benefits are available following 90 days of employment.  These positions are full time and potentially seasonal (typically March to November) depending on work volume.  With manufacturing taking place mostly indoors, employees enjoy a work environment protected from the elements, however there are certain tasks that are required to be completed outdoors.
