About The Opportunity:
In this position, you will perform skilled work in the operation and minor servicing of heavy-duty trucks and associated equipment including right drive automated garbage collection vehicles.
About Your Background:
You have completed Grade 12 and have a valid full privilege Class 3 BC driver’s license with air endorsement (or out of province equivalent) and a driver’s abstract that reflects a safe driving record. As well, you have one year of experience as a truck driver operating on public roadways or the equivalent, training in the operation of heavy-duty trucks and a good knowledge of the methods and procedures used in the collection, transporting, and unloading of solid waste. Ideally, you are qualified to operate tandem axle right-hand drive automated garbage trucks however, if you are an experienced truck driver, we will provide training.
