As spring starts to show its first signs of life in Prince George, we’re excited to release the March event blog! This piece is a joint partnership between Move Up Prince George and Tourism Prince George.

The Miracle Theatre – Halfway There

The Miracle Theatre – Halfway There is a professional theatre production with actors hired from across Canada and is being brought to Prince George to rehearse and perform. This comedy is about friends for life and the surprises that arise when a new doctor comes to town. 

This year’s beneficiary is the Prince George Community Foundation and all net proceeds will start the new “Children of Prince George Fund”. Buy a ticket and have a great night out at this laugh-filled comedy AND help make Prince George a better place! Tickets are available at Books & Company or 250-563-6637.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Based on the 1988 slap-stick comedy starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels follows the story of two men who con their way through a series of beautiful women on the French Riviera. This show features catchy songs, farcical humor, and a plot twist that will leave you saying “Sacré Bleu!” You’re welcome to join on March 8th, 9th, 10th, 15th, 16th or 17th at Theatre Northwest to enjoy this musical comedy.

Booze & Build: A Maker Night for Adults

On March 8th, you can make, build, drink, and create at this entertaining evening just for adults at the Booze & Build: A Maker Night for Adults hosted by the Two Rivers Gallery. Sip on some wine or craft beer while you try your hand at 3D doodling. Explore the exhibitions, laser tattoo some bananas, and other one-of-a kind activities. It’s a night like no other!

CrossRoads Brewing celebrates its 2nd birthday

Happy Birthday to Prince George’s downtown craft brewery, CrossRoads Brewing! They are celebrating their 2nd birthday on March 15th. What better way to enjoy yourself than heading down to George Street for a pint! There will be live music from local band Redwhyn at 7:30 pm and a special birthday cask will be available. No tickets required.

2019 Brew Ski

The Caledonia Nordic Ski Club is teaming up with CrossRoads Brewing and Trench Brewing & Distillery to host the Brew-Ski on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th. Bring a friend or fly solo, dress in green if you want, and just have fun! One ticket includes 5 beer samples and BBQ; all following beer will be available in the lodge at $5 each, cash only. Must be 19+ to participate.

Kinky Boots

Kinky Boots tells the uplifting and heartwarming tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family’s struggling shoe factory and looking for a fresh idea. Charlie meets and finds inspiration in Lola, and together they discover that it takes a good friend to make a great pair. This entertaining show is at the CN Centre on March 22nd.

Colin James & Band

This Cariboo Rocks the North Warm Up event is taking place at the CN Centre with Colin James & Band on March 23rd. Colin James will be joined on stage with Barney Bentall and Marty O’Reilly. Tickets start at just $49. Plus, all ticket buyers will be entered in a draw to win a pair of weekend passes to Cariboo Rocks the North 2019, scheduled for August 9th to 11th at Exhibition Park.
