Tim Bennett
Executive Director / Board Chair
Big Brothers Big Sisters / SD57
Age: 31
Tim Bennett has been the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George for four years, is a board chair at School District 57, and administrator for Hell Yeah Prince George. He places high importance on the impacts training and mentorship can have on society. Additionally, he is President of the Northern Interior Branch of the BC School Trustee Association and a committee member on the BCSTA Election Advisory Taskforce.
“I love the work I do and could not imagine raising a family elsewhere,” says Tim. “I just want to help where needed.”
Following some challenging years, Tim did impressive work rebuilding the profile of Big Brothers Big Sisters Prince George. As the fundraising coordinator and program manager for seven years, he helped the organization recover to a position where not only has their budget nearly doubled, but are now serving a record number of youth. With all of that, he has continued to make time to be a volunteer administrator for Hell Yeah Prince George, a position he has held for three years, helping guide the social media page through a rebrand and strategic planning.
Tim volunteers with various non-profits such as Nechako Community Theatrics Society, Prince George Theatre Workshop Society, and Huble Homestead, providing help with governance, staff, and board development, as well as policy development.
On top of his many commitments to these various causes, Tim also finds time to coach T-ball and is a dedicated family man.
