Jas Sandhu services the College Heights TD Canada Trust as a financial planner, the youngest member of TD’s financial planning team in the northern interior. In the past year, Jas has grown assets under management surpassing $7,000,000, some of the most substantial gains ever seen. His relationship with his branch team and clients is what banking is all about.
Jas’s education includes a diploma in accounting and finance from the College of New Caledonia, a bachelor of commerce degree, a double major in finance, and a general business degree from the University of Northern British Columbia. He also holds his Chartered Investment Manager designation (CIM) through the Canadian Securities Institute, which is a professional financial designation specializing in portfolio management. He is only one of nine professionals in Prince George to hold this appointment; he is also by far the youngest.
Jas also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation through the Financial Planning Standards Council, which is another professional designation and the gold standard in financial planning internationally. As before, he is one of the youngest professionals holding this appointment in Prince George. His commitment to continuing education at such a young age has indeed increased client value. Jas also dedicates his time to teaching financial literacy at the Prince George Native Friendship Centre, a program—known as “Money Matters”—that TD facilitated in partnership with the centre.
Along with his wife, Jas participates in the 24-hour Relay for Life through a private team set up in honour of his father. In the past two years, they have raised over $17,000 through various fund-raising initiatives and private donations. Jas encompasses everything that you want in a financial planner.
