If you’re looking for something to rejuvenate your mind and you have a love for art, then you should visit the Two Rivers Gallery located at 725 Canada Games Way in Prince George.
I went to the gallery on a Tuesday and was amazed to see the exhibited paintings, sculptures, books, and musical instruments on display in the permanent collection, the Rustad Galleria Exhibition and the Regional Outreach Exhibition.

Most of the work featured in this section is by local and regional artists. The pictures featured during my visit were watercolour on paper. These displays are on a wall on the right side when you enter the gallery.

Bad Magic exhibit
This exhibit featured paintings by Halifax artist Mitchell Wiebe. The paintings of rainbows, unicorns and other figures increased my curiosity to search for more and to find out the hidden meanings behind these paintings. This section also piqued my curiosity and provided a sense of mystery. I loved seeing such great works of art.

Fences exhibit
As it’s heading makes clear, this exhibit had a great collection of wooden paintings that showed the physical boundaries of humans and how fences protect them from getting harmed and destroyed. I loved one of the paintings by Betty Kovacic from Prince George. It was a portrait of a lady with who was using the fence to protect her baby.
MakerLab, classes and workshops

MakerLab
If you visit the upstairs of the Gallery, you will find a MakerLab section full of supplies for you to use to create art. You can also bring your own project and work on it in the space provided. Classes and workshops are also offered that enable participants to learn to reflect their feelings through art. When I was there, children enjoyed showing their work and creativity by using different colours.

After watching the children create are, I went downstairs to visit the Gallery Shop. It was full of handicrafts, books and paintings. I enjoyed the art which was displayed in the Gallery Shop.
