The deep freeze of January is over but winter isn’t quite done yet with a large amount of snow in the forecast for February. Luckily, there are plenty of indoor and outdoor events to get you through February and into the hopefully warmer days of March. Here’s our monthly event wrap up for February we put together in partnership with Tourism Prince George.
Celebrate cultural diversity with the FrancoFUN Winter Festival
The 35th Winter Festival – FrancoFUN hosted Les Cercle des Canadiens Francais is underway in Prince George. The festival kicked off with a Coldsnap Winter Music Festival concert, but if you missed the show, not to worry. There’s still plenty of fun to be had, including a senior’s lunch, a movie night, and a Sugar Shack including a brunch, silent auction and music.

Watch Finding Nemo at the pool
A movie night, at the pool? That’s right. Head to the Prince George Aquatic Centre this weekend to splash around with your kids while watching Finding Nemo. Regular admission rates apply but you’ll have above average fun.

Enjoy a night of jazz and blues
Award winning international jazz and blues singer Maureen Washington is returning to her hometown of Prince George to perform for the first time in three years. Downtown Winterfest
Downtown Winterfest hits the Canada Games Plaza once again in February, bringing you a winter market, music, a s’mores competition, an ice slide, snow and ice sculptures, and plenty of other fun for the whole family. The best part: this event is FREE to attend! Just make sure to bring some cash for the s’mores and the winter market.

Get Loose with Brews & Juice
If you love yoga, craft beer, and cold-pressed juice, this event is for you. Trench Brewing & Distilling, Col Juicery, and Chinook Yoga are teaming up to bring you a mid-morning all-level yoga class.
