Striking an impressive home-work balance is investment advisor Dean Rolufs, who has excelled in his profession and still found ways to achieve a fulfilling family life as well. His secret seems to be diving into the deep end of the participation pool.
At work, he did not vault to senior levels, he worked at it step by step.
“I started at the bottom of the ladder in my industry and through hard work and perseverance I have reached my initial goal: investment advisor,” he said. “Through technology, hiring the right support staff, and the continued modification of systems, I am on target for my next goal: providing exceptional client service and risk management/planning for my client base.”
“Dean’s experience in the financial industry has provided him with a strong foundation to help him meet his clients’ needs through goals-based planning and risk management,” said a supporter. “His clients are his number one priority.”
He started his climb at CNC in the General Arts program then on to the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada’s registered representative credential, life insurance certification, and credentials in financial management, branch management, finance planning and wealth management.
It took him to the top of his profession in 2013 when he attained President’s Council status which, he explained, “rewards a select group of top performing Investment Advisors from across Canada based on assets under management and business growth.”
At home, Rolufs is just as dedicated. He volunteers his time with Northern B.C. Friends of Children which helps families when kids have medical costs to overcome. He coaches youth sports. He sat as a director for the city’s youth soccer association, and a member of the Club 11 (a fundraising association sharing proceeds between youth soccer and other children’s charities). Dean is also active in Toastmasters.
His family and his clients get the same Dean Rolufs, giving his best to get their best.
