Prince George has no shortage of musical genres – everything from classical to metal and all sounds in between.
The best part of the music scene is the variety of venues these concerts take place in. Locally owned restaurants, church basements and outdoor amphitheaters all encourage a crowd!
Here are a few local locations to make music for your ears and your heart skip a beat:
CN Centre – concerts take place at the CN Centre all year round (inside & out) and offer a wide variety of entertainment from big name acts to our favourite oldies. Check out their events calendar for the current schedule.
Legion 43 PG – The Legion, located in the heart of town, hosts local bands with great musical talent on a regular basis. Pair that with food, games, and bevies; you’re sure to have an entertaining night out.
Omineca Arts Centre – A great host for local and touring artists, plus a creative art space for all artistic disciplines. This downtown venue is a hub for collaboration and inspiration.
Knox Performance Centre – A large concert hall, that will comfortably hold 285 people, retro fitted to create an accessible facility, both physically and creatively to host a wide range of concerts.
Vanier Hall – Host to a multitude of musical disciplines, the hall is located within PGSS (a local high school) and is a live events hub for the community. The PGSO (Prince George’s Symphony Orchestra) is based here and is sure to blow you away with their variety of orchestral selections.
Trench Brewing – This craft brewery pairs BBQ & beers with live music. You can even get in on the action by belting out your favourite karaoke tunes or playing music bingo.
Deadfall Brewing Co – An intimate brewery featuring all genres of live bands and music to pair with that perfect crisp sip!
Nancy O’s – A popular local restaurant on 3rd avenue hosting open mic nights, live music and
lots of fun! 19+ only.
ArtSpace – This intimate space is located in a book store, offering out of the box sounds.
Ignite Nightclub – Late night entertainment can be found here, featuring DJ’s and more.
