About the opportunity:
In this diverse role, you will oversee the City’s Bylaw Officers and Outreach Team. This position requires you to take independent initiative and interact professionally and effectively with a wide range of individuals and organizations. You will play a critical role in fostering collaborative partnerships among the City, local organizations, and residents to address various challenges.
About your background:
You possess a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field, along with at least five years of experience working in a regulatory environment. Experience in community health, social services, or a related field, with time in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred. This position requires a proven ability to develop proactive strategies and coordinate resources to address complex social issues. A background in resolving disputes and ensuring compliance, preferably related to bylaw enforcement and previous investigative experience is essential. The ideal candidate should also be familiar with the Community Charter and have experience supervising in a unionized environment.
