Summer is finally here, and it’s wonderful. Get out and celebrate the warmer temperatures and check out all the great local events! Here’s our event wrap up for the month of July in partnership with Move Up Prince George.
BMO KidzArt Dayz
BMO KidzArt Dayz is a celebration of creativity through art, music, and movement for the whole family! Through this two day festival, toddlers to pre-teens and all those kids-at-heart can partake in dozens of interactive hands-on art stations and activities. From music, collaborative community art projects, inflatable sculptures and more – there are creative opportunities everywhere.

Learn to fish at West Lake
Presented through Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC, this introductory program is perfect for kids 5-15 and their families. This half-day course will teach participants fish identification, habitat and conservation, knot tying, proper fish handling, ethics and best practices for using rods, reels, lines, and tackle.

CrossRoads Street Festival: Motorsports, Motocross, and Jetboating
Enjoy a free community event focusing on everything motorsport, motocross and more! With fun interactive activities to encourage kids and adults to discover different outdoor recreation opportunities, this family-friendly street party takes place from 10 am – 3 pm with a ticketed 19+ evening event kicking off at 6 pm till midnight. The evening portion turns everything up a notch with live music, local craft beer, street food, and interactive outdoor party games.

Downtown Summerfest
Take to the streets at Downtown Summerfest and bring your appetite to the Canadian Western Bank Taste Pavilion. Enjoy live entertainment on the TD Mainstage and be sure not to miss the thrilling Hockey Circus Show with PAZ or the magical antics with Clinton W. Gray. There’s always great food, live music, unique shopping and family fun at Downtown Summerfest!

Beauty & The Beast
“Be Our Guest” this month, and witness the live production of Beauty & The Beast, presented by Judy Russell Presents. From the Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of a prince who is magically transformed into a terrible beast as punishment for his selfish ways. To return to his human form he must learn to love and be loved in return or he and his household will remain transformed forever.
