School District No. 57
School District No. 57 offers quality K-12 education in over 30 elementary schools and eight secondary schools, including French immersion and Montessori options. The School District also has a Centre for Learning Alternatives which offers continuing education, distance education and community alternate programs. The School District covers 52,000 square kilometres and enrolls over 13,000 students.
Catholic Independent Schools
Catholic Independent Schools, Diocese of Prince George (CISPG) comprises the northern half of British Columbia and includes eight Catholic schools. The schools provide a rich, vibrant learning experience in all areas: academic, spiritual, physical and social. Students participate in extra-curricular teams such as volleyball, basketball, soccer and cross-country as well as fine arts programs that include band, choir, and speech arts.

College of New Caledonia
The College of New Caledonia (CNC) was established in Prince George in 1969, and has since expanded across north-central BC, with campuses in Prince George, Quesnel, Mackenzie, Burns Lake, Fort St. James, Fraser Lake and Vanderhoof. A total of 5,979 students were enrolled at these campuses in 2020/21, with 21% or 1,256 of them enrolled at the Prince George campus.
University of Northern British Columbia
The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) is rated #2 among small universities in Canada and has ranked in the top three for 10 straight years. UNBC has a core campus in Prince George and regional campuses throughout northern BC. A total of 4,253 students were enrolled at all campuses in 2020/21.
