Prince George does breakfast

I need to come clean about something. I have to admit that I LOVE breakfast. Breakfast is by far my favourite thing to go out to eat. As a former resident of Victoria BC, I was blessed with my pick of lovely breakfast spots when I needed my weekend fix. When I moved to Prince George last year, I couldn’t wait to check out the local hangouts for the best of their breakfast offerings. I am happy to report that I am not disappointed in the breakfast selections that Prince George has to offer. Actually, I feel quite the opposite! Here are just a few of the wonderful breakfast joints in Prince George.

Grama’s Kitchen

Grama's Inn Restaurant

Nestled in the cozy building of Grama’s Inn on Highway 97, Grama’s Kitchen is everything you love about a roadside diner, with a quality and cleanliness that impresses. It’s no wonder that this joint is a popular breakfast spot for travellers and locals alike. Their servings are generous, the prices are very affordable, and the coffee is always great. Come for the bennies, stay for the hilarious servers who joke around with dining customers.

Yolks All Day

Yolks eggs benedict and hashbrowns

This downtown restaurant specializes in breakfast, and they definitely impress. The whole family will find a lot to love on this restaurant’s full menu with selections like yummy omelettes, breakfast poutine, and even crêpes! No matter your selection at Yolks All Day, their side offering of dollar hashbrowns are absolutely to die for!

Crossroads Brewing

CrossRoads water and coffee

Ever woken up in the morning and thought to yourself: “I’d just love some pizza for breakfast”? Well thankfully, CrossRoads Brewing has you covered! CrossRoads’ famous wood-fired pizzas are available in breakfast form on their exciting brunch menu. If that’s not quite your thing, then don’t despair. Delicious offerings such as avocado toast and apple-smoked pancakes will leave you equally satisfied. Don’t forget to pair your brunch with a selection of beermosas crafted from signature CrossRoads brews.

With these wonderful local selections for breakfast, you’ll be sure to find something that’s worth getting up early for. As for me, you can find me dining out on any given weekend, enjoying the best breakfasts Prince George has to offer.
