Summer Farm Tours

Exploring the farms around Prince George can be a delightful and educational experience, especially during the summer. The self-guided tour offers u-pick, certified organic produce, flowers, animals, historic sights and delicious cuisine and drinks made with local harvest offerings. Local Farms to Visit

Foreman Farms and Bloom Café The main attraction is the sunflower fields, providing a picturesque setting for visitors to take photos and enjoy the natural beauty. The sunflower festival has lots of fun props to capture beautiful moments with friends and family. There’s also a petting zoo to interact with farm animals and a café to keep you refreshed.

 Northern Lights Estate Winery   BC’s #1 fruit winery hosts u-pick berry picking days, orchard tours and of course wine tasting and delicious bites at the only bistro on the river.

Wildflower Farm  This farm is a family run flower farm, taking care of the environment and home to many animals. They also provide the most informative, fun and interactive workshops and a shop stand where you can purchase goods. 

Hope Farm Organics
This certified organic farm has a variety of local and fresh produce like haskaps, San Marzano tomatoes, Cider apples, and more.

PG Urban Shroomery  A local mushroom grower located in the heart of Prince George, specializing in fresh gourmet mushrooms as well as grow at home kits.

Three Seeds Farm and Starbaby Creek Farm are hosting On Farm Market Events throughout the summer. Stop by and get fresh produce and goods from their fields and other vendors, enjoy a BBQ cooked by Birch & Boar and refreshing beverages from local Cold Front Cidery and Deadfall Brewing Company.


If you can’t make it to the farms, you can support them and learn more by visiting a local farmer’s market in Prince George.  Prince George Farmers MarketWilson’s Square Community Farmers Market, and East Line Farmers Market usually held on Saturdays during the summer. Huble Homestead Historic Site While not a farm in the traditional sense, Huble Homestead offers a glimpse into the region’s agricultural history. You can explore the historic buildings, gardens, and even participate in demonstrations of traditional farming techniques, or attend the annual potato festival in September.
